My name is Sam and since as long as I can recall I have been drawn to create. As a child I was a musician, and at some point in high school my focus changed to analog photography and the written word. My instruments a cameras and pen and paper.
I have a small selection of well-considered niches that I photograph, but ultimately I am a high-end boudoir photographer based out of Ojai, California. Although Southern California is home, I am a world traveler and crave to work with clients all over the globe.

I am a poet and lover of the written word, a scent aficionado, a lover of hip-hop, an adorer of Greek mythology, and lover of cold watermelon on a hot day. I created she is water as a pseudonym for myself and my artwork in the dawn of instagram, over 10 years ago with words strewn together on a fridge in poetic verse. The words became something akin to my chosen name, the title that would encompass and paraphrase my approach to creating. And so it goes.
She is water is a blend of documentation and the carefully crafted (think editorial.) This is a space for your sensual self to come alive, to be held and to be fully curious. I make images with intentional intimacy, because I see photography as an opportunity to tell a story.
This is a resting place for those who cherish photography with a balance of the candid and carefully created. I have a handful of creative offerings, and no matter which package best suits your needs, I am here to hold you the entire length of the process that will be steeped in co-creation, laughter, and many many rolls of film.
